Last updated: June 20, 2025
This statement applies to the website www.bearsurfboards.eu, managed by Cisalfa
Sport S.p.A., a private company operating in the retail sector for sporting goods and
leisurewear.
In accordance with the provisions of Directive (UE) 2019/882, and with reference to
the harmonised standard UNI CEI EN 301 549:2021, Cisalfa Sport S.p.A. provides the
following information regarding the accessibility status of the website.
Compliance status
As of the date of this statement, the website is not compliant with the technical accessibility
requirements set out in Directive (EU) 2019/882 and the EN 301 549:2021
standard. Certain critical issues have been identified in specific functionalities and
components, which currently do not fully meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Evaluation method
A technical assessment was carried out in June 2025 by an external professional certified
in digital accessibility (IAAP CPACC), through:
- automated tests using tools such as WAVE, axe DevTools, and ARC Toolkit;
- exploratory manual analysis of key sections of the site (homepage, category and
product pages, cart and checkout); - interaction tests using keyboard navigation and assistive technologies;
- behavioural observations of dynamic and interactive components, with attention to
WCAG 2.1 compliance standards.
Assessment outcome
The evaluation highlighted several accessibility issues, specifically related to:
- partial or absent keyboard navigation in menus and modals;
- focus state not always visible or overridden by overlays or dynamic styles;
- lack of focus trap and suboptimal focus management in modals and accordions;
- images without alt text or with non-informative descriptions;
- heading structure not always coherent, and use of non-semantic HTML elements;
- repeated links with generic labels (e.g., “read more”, “buy now”);
- missing ARIA labels, such as those distinguishing original from discounted prices;
- components lacking accessible roles or attributes (e.g., aria-expanded, aria-label);
- reflow issues in zoom conditions (e.g., partial overlap of content at 200%).
